Private Creative & Mindful Camp for Kids

Where: Private Residence, Woodland Hills, CA.

Celebrating gratitude, kindness, and connection through cooking, journaling, gardening, and heart-centered creative projects.

This Spring Break 3-day week invites children to slow down and rediscover the art of simple living and renewal -- blending:

🧘 Yoga Movement, affirmations, music & storytelling in nature 

🍲 Mindful Cooking inspired by spring harvests

🌱 Gardening & tending to the Earth

💛 Reflection journals, heart art & sharing circle

🎨 Eco-art & sensory nature crafts using natural colors and textures

💚 Gratitude circle & seasonal reflection

This program is deeply rooted in the 4Rs of sustainability:

Rethink – Reduce – Reuse – Recycle, helping children make art that respects and celebrates the planet.

Day-by-Day

Day 1 – The Cocoon: Seeds of Renewal

Discovering the magic of slowing down and planting new intentions. 

Morning practice: Yoga + music for joy & connection 

Nature Activity: Seed walk + collecting small leaves, petals, or stones to create a nature collage “My Spring Intentions"

Gardening, Harvesting + Composting 

Story: The Curious Garden by Peter Brown

Cooking:

  • Strawberry Oat Muffins

  • Herbal Mint Tea Lemonade

  • Homemade Mini Pizzas and Vegetables with Edible Flowers

Art:

  • Butterfly Air-Clay Sculpture

  • Seed Intention mosaics & orbs (Air-Clay & pressed flowers)

 

Extra Activities:

Coloring, Journal + share circle

Group game: Outdoor mindful game: Find the Color of Spring

 

 

Day 2 – Transformation: Colors of Kindness

Celebrate growth through kindness, creativity, and friendship.

Morning practice: Yoga + music for joy & connection 

Nature Activity: Flower mandala creation with petals & leaves

Story: Have you Filled a Bucket Today? by Carol McCloud

Cooking:

  • Rainbow Vegetable Wraps with Hummus or Guacamole

  • Honey-Lavender Herbal Tea 

  • Citrus Fruit Cups with Coconut and Natural Fruit Jello

Art:

  • Friendship Flags: Collaborative watercolor banners with affirmations

  • Eco-Dye Workshops: Natural dye art using beets, turmeric, and spinach + Decorate Bag, Buttlerfly Wings or Friendship Flags

Extra Activities:

  • Group game: Letters of Kindness exchange & Garden Relay

 

 

Day 3 – Taking Flight: The Gift of Growth

Reflect, rejoice, and spread your wings -- just like a butterfly.

Morning practice: Yoga + music for joy & connection 

Nature Activity: Harvest walk + Storytelling in the garden -- "How things grow"

Gardening, Harvesting + Composting 

Story: Miss Rumphius by Barbara Cooney

Cooking:

  • Mini Harvest Pasta Bowls with tomato sauce

  • Fresh Orange Juice

  • Biscuits and strawberries

Art:

  • Growth Garden Canvas- mixed-media art using paint & Natural textures + Paint your air-clay art 

  • Decorate: Biodegradable seeds cups for planting Wish Stones: Paint messages of love, courage, and gratitude on smooth garden stones

 

Extra Activities: 

  • Group game: Reflection journal, sharing circle, farewell picnic & gratitude song.

 

Bonus books: The 7 habits of Happy Kids, The Gift of Nothing, and many more inspirational books.

Bonus activities: nature mandalas, eco-collages, and group art rituals.

Gabriela Rocha Caballero is an artist, author, sustainable tourism advocate, and mindful educator with over 20 years of experience in public relations, eco-tourism, storytelling, sustainability, and wellness practices.

She is the author and creator of Tiny Chefs Around the World, I AM LOVE, and Cosmic Art & Nature Explorers — three beloved children’s books and enrichment programs.

As the founder of Suddha Prem, a holistic lifestyle brand, the curator behind Be a Conscious Traveler, and author of the cookbook memoir My Mama’s Healing Soups, Ms. Gaby is passionate about helping children connect with nature, culture, and their inner light through food, art, and mindful movement.
