Letting go, Letting In
Returning to what matters
Normally, for our family, summer is a time to rest — to soak in the ocean, surf, sunbathe, garden, travel, and reunite with loved ones.
But this summer was different — a first. It taught me something I thought I already knew:
-
That seasons shape us.
-
That everything is cyclical.
-
That using time and space — along with problem-solving and hard work — will always lead us to natural succession.
-
Sometimes we’re up. Sometimes we’re down. But when there’s purpose and motivation in your heart, you naturally keep moving.
The Earth Speaks to Us… In Every Moment
As summer break approaches, I’ve been reflecting on what it means to offer our children a season that nourishes them — not just with fun, but with presence.
There’s a quote I love from The Tao of Motherhood:
“A wise mother knows: It is her state of consciousness that matters…
Her gentleness and clarity command respect.
Her love creates security.”

Summer Time
A Practice of Presence, Memory, Growth & Nourishment
Summer arrives in a gloomy golden cloud — and beyond the familiar symbolism of the solstice and school break, it carries deeply personal layers for me. Many loved ones have passed during the months of June and July, so sadness and fear often find their way in.
Mindful Intentions, Self-Care and Participation
Do you have enough time to love?
More than ever, we are refining the way we live our daily lives. True happiness comes from within—nurtured by the choices we make every day.
When we are fully present, we recognize the presence of another.
To love is to recognize; to be loved is to be truly seen.
