From the cloud forest of Cuetzalan, a mist rises at dawn —
carrying stories in its breath.
Stories of women who walk barefoot on wet Earth,
of hands stained with coffee cherries,
of birds singing the day into existence.

I remember walking those cobblestone streets as a little girl,
my mother’s hand in mine,
the scent of roasted beans swirling with the morning air.
I didn’t know then that this place would become
a heartbeat in my life —
a reminder of where we come from,
and what we must protect.

Today, I invite you to listen with me…

To the rhythm of the forest,
to the wisdom of ancestral soil,
to the quiet devotion of communities
who grow with the Earth — not against it.

This first issue of Suddha Prem Magazine is a love letter.
To the people of Cuetzalan – my dear friends.
To my brother Mauricio and his wife Coco,
who took me there for the very first time.
To the spirit of coffee as ceremony.
To sustainability as a way of being —
rooted in love, community, and reciprocity.

May these stories inspire you
to slow down,
to honor where things come from,
to remember that every sip, every step, every choice
is a connection.
A chance to live with devotion.

Con amor y gratitud,
