Spring Passport: The Art of Simply Living 

 

An 8‑week journey where young creators (ages 5–10) explore mindfulness, creativity, and joyful living through cooking, art, nature play, and seasonal stories.​

 

Limited space + mindful small classes for deep connection.​

Where: Private residence in Woodland Hills, CA.

Class Size: 6–12 children

What is the Spring Passport?

 

This isn’t just another after‑school class — it’s a seasonal, creative journey that invites children to slow down, explore with intention, and discover the art of simple living.

Drawing on mindful play, seasonal rhythms, eco‑arts, and thoughtful cooking, children build skills in:

 

  • Cooking and healthy food creation

  • Art inspired by nature and the Earth’s cycles

  • Journaling and reflection

  • Sensory exploration and outdoor observation

  • Mindful movement, storytelling, and community play

 

This experience nurtures curiosity, emotional regulation, imagination, and connection with self and nature.

This program is deeply rooted in the 4Rs of sustainability:

Rethink – Reduce – Reuse – Recycle, helping children make art that respects and celebrates the planet.

Children will explore:

  • Nature-based art using clay, soil, petals, and recycled materials

  •  Outdoor eco-play, nature walks, and creative seasonal observation

  •  Journaling, storytelling, coloring, and art-making inspired by Earth’s cycles

  •  Sensory exploration through texture, scent, color, light, and sound

  •  Amazing books from our family library

  • Deep connection, self-confidence, and imagination

  • Empathy for self, others, and the natural world

  • A love for Earth, earthlings, and the magic of making art

Spring 2026 Session – Weekly Themes

Each week focuses on a theme that connects creativity with the natural world:

 

 

Week 1: Seeds of Spring - Planting ideas 

Handmade Nature Journals 

Nature-inspired crafts for creative reflection.

Week 2: Growth & Nourishment 

Caterpillar crafts + small experiments.

Heartfelt projects like wooden chests, gratitude cards, and herbal bundles made with love.

Week 3: Transformation & Creativity

Fun cooking shapes, butterfly projects, puppet making.

Week 4: Self-Care & Wellness 

DIY herbal teas. spa projects, reflective art.

Week 5: Exploration & Engineering 

Creative planting, mix media, make your own robot with recycling materials.

Week 6: Expression & Performance 

Themed meals, air-clay design, puppet or art performances.

Week 7: Community & Sharing

Collaborative cooking, murals and other theme-based projects.

Week 8: Celebration & Completion 

Final creations, passport completion.

Bonus mini-activities: nature mandalas, eco-collages, and group art rituals.

Daily menu & snacks: pasta salad, baguettes, rice & green bowls, quesadillas, burritos, sandwiches, fruit cocktails, smoothies, yogurt and healthy baked goods.

✨ Full Time Program Enrollment Take home: projects, 2 books (I AM LOVE andTiny Chefs Around the World), and a farmer's market bag

✨ Families receive a Spring Passport with stamps, reflections, and take‑home projects each week. 

Whether painting gratitude stones, building seed mandalas, or creating with earth pigments, this program helps children develop a deeper relationship with the planet and their own creative spirit.

Half Program (4 weeks/8 classes):

$700 great for a taste of the experience or busy spring schedules.

Weekly Enrollment (2 classes):

$180 flexible option with passport stamps and materials included.

Gabriela Rocha Caballero is an artist, author, sustainable tourism advocate, and mindful educator with over 20 years of experience in public relations, eco-tourism, storytelling, sustainability, and wellness practices.

She is the author and creator of Tiny Chefs Around the World, I AM LOVE, and Cosmic Art & Nature Explorers — three beloved children’s books and enrichment programs.

As the founder of Suddha Prem, a holistic lifestyle brand, the curator behind Be a Conscious Traveler, and author of the cookbook memoir My Mama’s Healing Soups, Ms. Gaby is passionate about helping children connect with nature, culture, and their inner light through food, art, and mindful movement.
